A NATIONAL HIGHER EDUCATION DANCE SCHOOL IN CANNES MOUGINS

Founded in 1961

The Pôle National Supérieur de Danse (PNSD) Rosella Hightower in Cannes-Mougins belongs to a wider network including higher education dance centres accredited by the French Ministry of Culture, as well as internationally renowned dance schools.

For over 60 years, the school has offered students from more than fifteen nationalities a multidisciplinary curriculum stemming from our dual classical/ contemporary culture.

The PNSD Rosella Hightower grants the Higher National Diploma in Professional Dance Performance (DNSP) through either formal learning, apprenticeship or Validation of Acquired Experience (VAE). It also offers a range of dance related activities such as lifelong learning, workshops and children programmes. Our teaching staff includes renowned and experienced teachers.

A partnership has been developed with the French National Education System and CIV (Centre International de Valbonne) to adapt students’ schedules around their daily dance practice on our school campus, while providing them with high-quality education offered by the Collège and Lycée International de Valbonne from year 7 to year 13.

Undergraduate students may then pursue a joint artistic and academic curriculum leading to a Bachelor’s Degree delivered through our partnerships with Toulon and Côte d’Azur Universities.

Rosella Hightower Cannes Junior Ballet

Our junior ballet welcomes students in their last year of pre-professional training, studying for the Higher National Diploma in Professional Dance Performance (DNSP). Their programme mixes pieces taken from the great ballet repertoire, original creations by young choreographers, and reprises or creations by recognised international choreographers.

Conceived as a means of professional insertion, the Cannes Junior Ballet Rosella Hightower enables our students to nurture their own artistic personality by working with choreographers and experiencing stage performance.

A campus dedicated to Dance

The PNSD Rosella Hightower has built its campus around dance, offering new studios, boarding facilities, a dining hall, school spaces and a health centre.

Such a privileged environment enables students to develop their artistic potential in optimal circumstances, alongside consistent academic support and special attention to their wellness. Our campus thus fosters artistic and personal development for future dancers. Our partnership with neighbouring theatre Scène 55 creates a cultural synergy where student dancers can challenge themselves to put their skills into practice on stage.
