Dance classes for adults

The joy of dancing, at any age

The PNSD Rosella Hightower offers a dance class specially designed for seniors aged 60 and over.
An hour dedicated to movement, mobility, coordination and the pleasure of dancing, in a supportive and welcoming environment, with no focus on performance.
The class is open to everyone, whether you have previous dance experience or are discovering dance for the first time. Exercises are adapted to individual abilities, allowing everyone to practise at their own pace.

Move, feel, enjoy

Through movement, music and coordination exercises, the class focuses on:
- mobility and flexibility
- balance and coordination
- concentration and memory
- musicality and physical expression

Particular attention is paid to each participant’s comfort, ensuring that the practice remains enjoyable and accessible.

Dominique Lainé

She began studying classical ballet at the age of six in Toulon before joining the Rosella Hightower Dance Centre in Cannes at fourteen. At seventeen, she joined the Ballet de l’Opéra National de Lyon, where she danced for twenty years.
As a soloist, she took part in world premieres and revivals with numerous choreographers, including Nacho Duato, Mats Ek, Jiří Kylián, William Forsythe, Maguy Marin, Hans van Manen, Bill T. Jones, Louis Falco, Ohad Naharin, Angelin Preljocaj, Dominique Bagouet and many others.
In 2000, she worked with German choreographer Joachim Schloemer as a dancer and assistant.
In November 2009, she obtained the French Certificat d’Aptitude qualification as a classical ballet teacher. Since 2010, she has been a permanent teacher at the École Supérieure de Danse de Cannes-Mougins Rosella Hightower, and subsequently at the PNSD Rosella Hightower, where she teaches the children’s classes and the Initial Cycle.
Dominique Lainé is also the coordinator of the children’s classes.
